Tour Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Athens

Arrival at Athens airport - Reception by our assistant and transfer by luxurious car   to the centre of Athens - Check in at your hotel in Athens or Glyfada.

For tonight we propose you an Athens by night optional tour. Your   evening begins with a short panoramic drive through the city centre and on   the slopes of the sacred hill you will be able to see, admire and take photos   of the illuminated Acropolis. Then a pleasant walk through the narrow picturesque   streets of Plaka will bring you to a typical Greek Tavern where you will   enjoy your dinner and live Greek music.

Day 2 - Panoramic tour of Athens

After your breakfast, we will start the tour around the sites of Athens. This tour   gives you an opportunity to observe the striking contrasts that make Athens   such a fascinating city. Our expert guides will take you to see the   Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of modern times were held   in 1896 (short stop).

Continue and pass by the Prime Minister's residence (Old Royal Palace) guarded by the Evzones in their colourful uniform, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Hadrian's Arch, the Parliament and the memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library, the Constitution Square   (Syntagma).

On the Acropolis visit the Architectural Masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: The Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally "the harmony between material and spirit", the monument that   "puts the mind in order", the Parthenon.

Continue and visit the place where the statues found their home and admire the classical era’s wonders: The Acropolis Museum.

The evening is free. We recommend taking a tour to enjoy the beautiful sunset in Cape Sounion.  Overnight in Athens.

Day 3 - Athens - Full Day Argolis

After breakfast, we will take the coastal road to the Corinth   Canal (a short stop for photos). Continue with a   visit to the Theatre of Epidaurus famous for its   remarkable acoustics. Then proceed to the town of Nafplion (short   stop) and drive on to Mycenae and visit the Archaeological   site and the tomb of Agamemnon. Lunch during the visit.

Overnight in Athens.

Day 4 - Athens - Full Day Delphi

After breakfast, we will drive towards Delphi.

Layers of myth and history enhance the natural magnificence of Delphi. It is told   that Zeus sent two eagles in opposite directions to determine the fulcrum of   all existence. When they met at Delphi, he proclaimed it the “navel of the   world”. The Delphic oracle was an important spiritual and religious centre   from the 6th century BC to the 4th century AD and rewarded the god-fearing   with credible, if ambiguous, prophecies. Ancient pilgrims expressed their gratitude in the form of dozens of magnificent offerings that came to light during excavations.

Like a worshipper in ancient times, you’ll walk up the Sacred Way to the majestic Temple of Apollo, which was decorated by Athenian sculptors. Pythia issued her prophecies from its inner sanctum. The temple is   surrounded by monuments dedicated to the ancient Greek city-states, leaders   and ordinary people and the whole place still exudes unique   energy. Stand before it and look carefully at the ruins. They date from   a temple built in 330 BC on the foundations of an earlier Doric temple   erected in 505 BC. North of the sanctuary you’ll find the theatre, where   music and drama contests were held. Walk even higher and you’ll come to the   Stadium, where the Pythian Games took place.

Lunch during the visit. On the way back we will make a short stop in the village of Arachova.

Overnight   in Athens.

Day 5 - Athens – Departure

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the Airport for the departure flight back home.
