Classical Greece Tour - 5 Days

Day 1 - Arrival in Athens

Arrival at Athens airport - Our assistant will meet you and will transfer you to your   hotel. Afternoon free. Overnight.

Day 2 - Panoramic tour of Athens and Acropolis

After your breakfast, we will start the tour around the sites of Athens. This tour   gives you an opportunity to observe the striking contrasts that make Athens   such a fascinating city. Our expert guides will take you to see the   Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of modern times were held   in 1896 (short stop).

Continue and pass by the Prime Minister's residence (Old Royal Palace) guarded by the   Evzones in their colourful uniform, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the   Hadrian's Arch, the Parliament and the memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the   Academy, the University, the National Library, the Constitution Square   (Syntagma).

On the Acropolis visit the Architectural Masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: The Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally "the harmony between material and spirit", the monument that   "puts the mind in order", the Parthenon.

Continue   and visit the place where the statues found their home and admire the   classical era’s wonders: The Acropolis Museum.

The   evening is free. We recommend taking a tour to enjoy the beautiful sunset in Cape Sounion. Overnight in Athens.

Day 3 - Delphi – Meteora

Experience   the ancient world on a journey through the fertile plain of Boeotia, arriving in Delphi, the centre of the ancient world. Delphi is located on the slopes   of Mount Parnassus, in a landscape of unparalleled beauty and majesty.

Visit   the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios and explore the ruins of the Treasury of the   Athenians, the Temple of Apollo and the Museum. The Museum contains   masterpieces of Ancient Greek sculpture such as the bronze Charioteer. Have lunch in Delphi at a local tavern and savour traditional Greek cuisine.

After lunch, continue your trip towards Kalambaka, a small town located at the foot   of the Meteora Rocks, home to the largest and most important group of   monasteries in Greece. Overnight in Kalambaka, to get ready for the next   day's visit to the unique Meteora.

Day 4 - Meteora – Athens

A trip to Meteora is a truly unique experience that combines nature's grandeur with history, architecture, and spirituality. The Meteora vertical cliffs have been regarded as the perfect place for spiritual elevation and connection with the divine since early Christian times. The serene and mystical atmosphere, combined with the impressive rock formations, make for an extraordinary and breathtaking visit. You can explore the monasteries perched atop the towering rocks, each with its own history, architecture and art. This is a journey that will leave a lasting impression on your mind, body and soul.

In the early afternoon, we depart for Athens, the ancient capital and birthplace of democracy. Overnight in Athens, explore more of the city's rich history   and culture the following day.

Day 5 - Departure Day
